Account & Data Deletion
You're always in control of your data. This page explains how to delete your IKTF account and the data associated with it, what gets removed, and the limited information we may be required to retain.
You can delete everything yourself inside the app, or send us a deletion request by email and we'll handle it for you.
Delete it yourself
- Open IKTF and go to Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account, scan history and associated data are removed.
Ask us to delete it
- Email us from the address linked to your account.
- Use the subject line "Data deletion request".
- We verify your request and confirm once it's done.
01What gets deleted & what we keep
When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. A limited amount of information may be retained only where the law requires it or to prevent fraud and abuse.
Deleted
- Your account and profile identifier
- Your scan history and saved results
- Images you submitted for recognition
- Your preferences and in-app settings
- Support messages tied to your account
May be retained
- Records we must keep for legal or tax reasons
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics that can't identify you
- Limited logs needed to prevent fraud or abuse
- Purchase records held by Apple or Google
02How long it takes
In-app deletion is processed immediately on your device and removed from our systems shortly afterwards. Email requests are actioned within 30 days of us verifying your identity. Backups are purged on our normal rolling schedule. Any retained data is limited to the categories above and kept only for as long as the law requires.
03Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription, because billing is managed by the app stores. To cancel, manage your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings before deleting your account.
